Use it for your own job hunt, without limit.

The personal use licence in full. Use the files as heavily and as often as you like for your own applications. Do not resell them, redistribute them, or use them to produce resumes for other people.

  • Unlimited personal use
  • No reselling or sharing

Every package sold on this site comes with a personal use licence. It is deliberately short, and this page is the whole of it. If you are buying for your own job hunt, the summary is simple: use the files as much as you like, for as long as you like, and do not pass them on or sell them.

What this licence covers

The licence covers every file in the package you bought: the resume documents, the cover letter, the bullet point library, the keyword bank, the LinkedIn text, the prompt pack, the guides, the scripts and the application tracker. It applies from the moment your payment clears and it does not expire.

It is granted to one person: the person who bought it. It is not granted to a household, a team, a department or a company.

What you may do

  • Edit the files as heavily as you like, including rewriting every sentence in them.
  • Use the result to apply for as many jobs as you want, with no limit and no time restriction.
  • Send the finished resume and cover letter to employers, recruiters, job boards and application portals.
  • Put the LinkedIn wording on your own public profile.
  • Print, save, back up and re-download the files for your own use on any device you own.
  • Keep using them after you get the job, and again the next time you look.

What you may not do

  • Resell the files, in whole or in part, edited or unedited, on any marketplace, site or platform.
  • Redistribute them for free: no uploading to file sharing sites, Google Drive folders, forums, Discord servers, course materials or template collections.
  • Share your download link or your account with anyone else.
  • Use them to write resumes for other people, paid or unpaid, as a service.
  • Claim the writing as your own work, or present the templates as a product you created.
  • Use the files, or any part of them, to train or fine tune a machine learning model.
  • Remove or alter any notice of ownership inside the files.

If you want to recommend the templates to someone, send them the link. That is welcome, and it is not redistribution.

Who owns what

We own the writing: the bullet points, the guides, the scripts and the structure of the documents. You are buying a licence to use them, not the copyright in them.

You own everything you put into them. Your history, your employers, your numbers and any sentence you write yourself remain entirely yours, and nothing in this licence gives us a claim over your finished resume or your career.

Careers advisers, recruiters and businesses

If you want to use these templates with clients, candidates, students or staff, the personal use licence does not cover it, and buying several copies does not fix it.

There is a commercial licence for exactly this and it is straightforward to arrange. Write to hi@disruptivetemplates.com with roughly how many people you support and what you want to do, and we will send terms and a price. We would far rather do that than find out afterwards.

Using the files with AI tools

Pasting your own resume into an assistant to help you edit it is fine, and the prompt pack in the Career Kit is built for exactly that. What is not permitted is uploading the templates as source material to train, fine tune or build a model or a product on.

Be aware that anything you paste into a third party tool is handled under that tool terms rather than ours. Read what it does with your data before you paste your employment history into it.

If the licence is broken

The licence ends automatically if it is breached, and you must stop using the files and delete them. We may also disable further downloads on the order.

In practice we write first and ask what happened, because most breaches are a misunderstanding rather than an attempt to resell. Deliberate redistribution or resale is a different matter and we will pursue it.

Governing law

This licence, and any dispute arising from it, is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not remove the protections available to you under the law of the country you live in.

Disruptive Templates is a trading name of Umair Sajid Ltd.
